Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship (L2)

Apprenticeship level: Intermediate

Apprenticeship duration: 12 months

Possible start date: 25th June 2018

Working week: Monday to Friday, varying times by day, 30 mins lunch break, 40 hours per week

The opportunity is to join a friendly team working in the company’s modern Warehouse. There you will learn about the business and the wide range of products that it distributes. You will support this learning with the completion of an Apprenticeship in Warehouse and Distribution, Level 2.

Responsibilities:

• Pick and pack items as requested on Customer Order
• Labelling
• Receive goods in
• Check warehouse stock levels
• Communicate with team and office
• Keep all areas clean and tidy

• A confident communicator both in writing and spoken

Desired qualifications:

• Maths and English at grade A to D or equivalent qualifications
• Good knowledge of the Office Suite: Outlook, Word and Excel

Training provider:

On the job training will be supported by the delivery of training in the workplace by staff from Dudley College of Technology. This Apprenticeship consists of two elements which combine to make up the Intermediate Warehouse & Storage Apprenticeship– these are:

• Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) which focuses on the practical aspects of your role. For this apprenticeship this is the Certificate in Warehousing and Storage Level 2
• Functional Skills to develop your Maths and English skills will also be provided if required. For this apprenticeship these are Mathematics Level 1 and English Level 1
• Employment Rights and Responsibilities
• Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
