STEM Skills Support Technician - Engineering

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join DANCOP (Derbyshire and Nottingham Collaborative Outreach Programme) at Nottingham College STEM Centre.
We are advertising for a STEM Skills Support Technician – Engineering to join our team at Nottingham College’s purpose built STEM centre. The successful candidates will be working within a motivated and determined department that has previous success of supporting young people from all backgrounds to understand STEM related subjects at our Engineering Centre of Excellence and have access to a vast range of industry standard equipment to help the delivery inspiring workshop sessions to visiting learners from across the region.
The post holder will join a team responsible for the upkeep of the Project workshops and ensuring all tools and equipment are maintained. They will provide a high standard of technical support assisting staff and students in workshop related activities which are STEM focused, ensuring risk assessments are carried out and all H&S procedures and policies are followed at all times; ensuring resources are ready and available for sessions in advance of classes starting, and reordering materials as and when necessary within a set budget.
