Changing lives. Creating futures

Attractive remuneration package

At Croydon College we strive for excellence in all we do and we have ambitious plans for our future. Croydon College sits at the heart of the Town’s £5.25 billion redevelopment and this new role of Vice Principal Training, Skills and HE, with its focus on the College’s growth, will ensure that the communities we serve have the skills they need to access the opportunities this investment provides.

Confirmed by Ofsted as Good in 2018, we continue to improve and set high expectations of our students and staff. With sound finances, we provide courses across a wide range of subject areas and levels to meet the needs of an ethnically diverse population.

This is an exciting time for us. The post of Vice Principal Training, Skills and HE sits in the college Executive Team, reporting directly to the Principal and Chief Executive. The role will lead on the development and delivery of adult training and skills, apprenticeships and Higher Education (including higher apprenticeships) for the college. We are seeking an individual with the capacity to lead these areas and it is not essential to have previous experience in all of them.

With an outstanding track record of leadership and management, you will bring substantial business development expertise to lead on a bold vision for growth in the future. Your commercial leadership skills will enable you to create business opportunities, analyse risk and be a significant part of developing a culture of new and innovative thinking. Adept at managing external relationships in what is a highly complex external stakeholder map, whilst providing strong and inspirational leadership internally, we require a candidate who can engage and influence with integrity, intellect and judgement. Above all you must bring a commitment to the learning community of Croydon, ensuring they continue to receive a high quality education experience to the benefit of all.

To arrange an informal discussion, please contact our Human Resources Department on 0208 760 5938.

Closing date is midnight on Monday, 18 June 2018.

Final interviews will be held on 28 and 29 June 2018.

This post is subject to an enhanced disclosure via the Disclosure & Barring Service.

We encourage applications from all sectors of the community, to reflect our diverse student population.
