Data Protection Officer

Location: Nottingham College – all campuses

Nottingham College seeks to appoint a Data Protection Officer to act as the principle point of contact and subject expert for all Data Protection related issues. As our Data Protection Officer you will provide assurance on our compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations, be responsible for all relevant policies within the college and providing training, advice and support to staff on practical implementation.

This exciting opportunity will help shape and influence a robust corporate approach to privacy in terms of digital transformation and data management. You will join us at the right time to shape and build our data protection and privacy agenda in a customer centred way.

We are looking for a committed and solutions-oriented data protection professional to ensure data protection compliance in a pragmatic and engaging way. You will have experience of leading on Data Protection in a large organisation, including an in-depth understanding of the new data protection legal framework, of the processes and operations needed, and the implications of IT and data security. You must be able to demonstrate working at a senior level with experience of promoting a data protection culture throughout the organisation.
