Join the largest further education college in the UK as a Department Team Leader for Animal Care on a permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) basis.
As Department Team Leader for Animal Care you will become a leading figure in the Sports Public Services and Care Professions Department team helping us reach our College 2020 strategic plan.
In joining our team as a Department Team Leader you'll become part of the unique LTE Group, shaping the development of education delivery. As a member of the College Management Team, you will report to the Head of Department in the management and operation of the Department. You will be required to deliver and promote high quality, student focused teaching and learning. You will be responsible for line management of teaching and support staff to ensure delivery of an outstanding quality focused education. In order to do this, you will need:
- A teaching/ assessing (as appropriate) qualification and subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) qualification within a specified time scale.
- English & Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2.
- To be responsible for the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning within the Department, sharing of good practice and quality targets.
- Line manage staff as allocated providing support and development to improve teaching and learning.
