Senior Student Services Officer

1 year contract

As an experienced and enthusiastic Youth Worker the successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and a strong knowledge and understanding of issues affecting young people. The role involves supporting learners to achieve their chosen qualifications by providing personal, emotional and financial support and running programmes to develop resilience, coping strategies and self-confidence. The role includes being one of the College’s Designated Safeguarding Officers, responding appropriately and effectively to safeguarding concerns and liaising with relevant College staff and outside agencies. 

The successful applicant will deliver engaging group tutorials in the classroom on a range of issues and organise and deliver awareness activities, external speakers and events across the College including Student Welcome Events. They will also ensure the learner voice is strong and effective, including the election of Student Academic Representatives (StARs), supporting the Students’ Union and StARs’ Conferences.
