Trainee Lecturer - Mechanical Engineering Graduate

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and innovative individual to work within the Engineering section delivering a variety of engineering programmes.

You will be required to deliver the following core components of Engineering up to Level 5:

• Engineering Design.
• Maths.
• Science.
• Managing a Professional Engineering Project.

You must also be able to specialise in at least one of these areas:

• Fundamental of Thermodynamics and Heat Engines.
• Fluid Mechanics.
• Computer Aided Design and Manufacture (CAD/CAM).

You will be qualified to degree level or higher. The College are keen to attract individuals with relevant industry experience and will support staff to achieve a teaching qualification. The successful candidate does not need previous experience of teaching and through funding for “SET for Teaching Success” provided by the Education and Training Foundation, the College can offer you an opportunity to obtain a full Teaching Qualification (Diploma in Education and Training Level 5 or above, as appropriate).

With excellent communication and organisational skills, the candidate must be able to deliver effectively, assist with the development of programme timetables, assessment schedules and ensure that the area meets all awarding body requirements.
