Over the last 5 years we have recruited a team of Personal Training and Well-being apprentices to support and increase the delivery of high quality personal training, sport and well-being sessions for our staff and students. In recognition of this successful programme with excellent destinations and positive results with staff and students, we are aiming to recruit five talented, committed and enthusiastic sports people who wish to develop a career in personal training and sport.

This is an area of provision for the College falling within the work of Worthing College Academy of Sport Strategy. A team of Personal Training and Well-being apprentices is required to deliver gym and sports and active leisure well-being activities for students and staff here at the College. Apprentices will be line managed by our Sports Development Co-ordinator.

Personal Training and Well-being Apprentices will complete the requirements of the Exercise and Fitness Level 3 apprenticeship framework. Before completing the Level 3, Apprentices will complete a Level 2 Certificate in Exercise and Fitness if this has not already been attained.

The apprenticeship will normally remain in force for a minimum 12 months from the start date or until the apprentice has completed the relevant qualification, whichever is later. Working hours will be predominantly Monday to Friday although occasional evening and weekend working may be required. You will be required to attend sessions at Worthing College to support completion of the NVQ portfolio and additional study areas.

The college is committed to equality of opportunity and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
