An opportunity has arisen within the specialised Construction team, for a Lecturer to deliver Carpentry courses at Levels 1, 2 and 3.
As you will need to be ready to meet the challenges of this busy department from the outset, previous experience of training/assessing (in or out of an FE environment) would be advantageous. This is an opportunity to join an excellent team in a growing area.
A teaching qualification and assessor awards would be an advantage, although the College would support staff to achieve these, as is the ability to take the section forward in these challenging times.
With excellent communication and organisational skills, the candidate must be able to deliver effectively, assist with the development of programme timetables, assessment schedules and ensure that the area meets all awarding body requirements.
Evidence of, and a commitment to student retention, achievement and development is essential.
The College is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
The successful applicant will be required to obtain a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records Disclosure before taking up this post.
