Wellbeing Co-ordinator – Student Wellness

Location: All Nottingham College sites

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new, dynamic team at Nottingham College.  As part of the Wellbeing team, this role works alongside other Wellbeing Co-ordinators to support students to get the best possible experience whilst at college and achieve their potential.

This role offers a proactive service across the organisation offering advice and support to students on mental health and wellbeing issues. You will need a good understanding of a range of mental health issues and a current working knowledge of support services available. You will also advise staff across the organisation on strategies to support their learners around mental health and wellbeing issues, as well as offering training and development for staff and students.

You will also work alongside the Wellbeing team to raise awareness and implement a range of initiatives to support students outside their main programme of study to build resilience and promote independence to get them ready for their chosen destination.

You will oversee the supervision of the volunteer support team, and will be responsible for building and developing partnerships with relevant external agencies to provide a holistic support service.

Nottingham College Services is a subsidiary company of Nottingham College, and as such the terms and conditions of employment are different, the main differences being:

  • 30 days paid leave per year, made up of 22 days annual leave and 8 bank/public holidays. 
  • You will be eligible to receive company sick pay for up to 20 days and statutory sick pay thereafter.
  • You will be provided with details of a personal pension plan which you can access.
