Harrow and Uxbridge Colleges have merged and formed West Met Skills to extend their employer services. West Met Skills has extensive experience of skills based training and as a newly merged group, are excited to be expanding their reach across west London in training people at all levels and responding to the needs of industry, particularly apprenticeships.
You will work with the Head of Apprenticeships and Skills, Executive Director - Employer Services and Partnerships and the College’s Academic Standards Manager to raise standards to maximise both learner success and employer satisfaction rates. In addition to monitoring quality of employability courses, you will be working closely with the wider curriculum teams, to ensure the new apprenticeship standards are developed and designed to high quality, ensuring learner success and employer satisfaction.
You should be qualified to degree level or equivalent and have experience of implementing strategies for raising standards of teaching and learning. You should have good knowledge and understanding of quality management strategies, employer responsive provision and of post-16 inspection requirements. The ability to work under pressure, excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication skills are also essential.
