As a Strategic Research Officer, you will become our expert source of information and advice on the interpretation of government, economic, financial and statistical information and data. This will involve carrying out and monitoring research, collating data, creating clear briefings for managers and maintaining up-to-date online resources for use within the organisation. We will also rely on you to keep our senior management team abreast of key industry and sector thinking - and draft responses to government consultations when required.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, your strong research experience must include statistical literacy, the ability to handle quantitative data and the confidence to produce concise and cogent reports. Good IT skills, particularly relating to Excel and Internet research activities, are essential. And, as you might expect, a sound working knowledge of 16+ education and training systems would be invaluable.
