If you are looking for a new challenge and would like to utilise your skills and knowledge whilst developing your own career, this opportunity will be rewarding and fulfilling. In this role you will teach young people GCSE Maths, which will enable them to fulfill their career aspirations and empower them to embark on working life.
We are currently looking for a full-time GCSE Maths lecturer to join our English and Maths team: we would consider experienced Functional Skills Maths tutors.
You will be joining a dynamic and enthusiastic team of lecturers who are responsible for delivering GCSE Maths to 16-18 learners on full-time college study programmes. We are seeking an enthusiastic and determined teacher of Maths to ensure learners are engaged with the subject and prepared for examinations.
A degree in Maths (or a related subject – STEM, Finance) is essential, as is a minimum of Level 2 in English and competency with ICT. Adequate teaching experience in a similar environment, as well as qualified teaching status, would be preferred but is not essential as we would welcome applications from highly qualified graduates.
If you have exceptional communication skills and the ability to prioritise and coordinate a challenging workload, this may be the right role for you. You will be a self-starter, who can quickly develop a good rapport with young people.
The College offers many good employment benefits including generous holiday entitlement, pension scheme, and many on-site benefits and facilities.
