Working week: 38 hours per week

Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm

Friday 8.00am - 2.00pm

Harris Walton Lifting Gear Ltd are a traditional engineering business based in the heart of the Black Country. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in the office gaining a real understanding of how the business runs. This is an engineering business, and as such an appreciation of engineering would be beneficial.


  • Handling UK and international orders
  • Process international payments
  • Handle import and export of goods
  • Some bookkeeping
  • Assisting with international standards and BSI
  • Handling telephone enquiries
  • Customer service
  • Office administration

Desired qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths and English A-C (Grade 4 and above) or equivalent Functional Skills (Level 2)
  • Previous office working experience would be preferential

Training provider:

The successful applicant will complete a Level 2 Diploma in Business and Administration. This will be delivered in the workplace in work time by Assessors from Dudley College of Technology.

In addition there will be training in:

  • Staff induction
  • International trade documentation training

In future the company would encourage the right candidate to study for leadership and management skills with a view to taking more senior roles within the company.
