MidKent College is a large, successful Further Education College based at Medway and Maidstone. With a state of the art campus, we are now looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and positive Customer Service Security Officer to join the Security Team at the Medway campus. The security team provide a first class service regarding the safeguarding and security of the site whilst assisting in the smooth running of the college and its estate. The responsibilities include providing a safe and clean environment for users of the campus buildings and grounds. In addition, the successful person will need to demonstrate excellent customer services and support to students and the numerous college stakeholders. The role also includes assisting with other general facilities duties as required, including locking up and securing the premises. Some shift patterns and weekend works are required as the Medway campus is a busy and thriving establishment.

This post is based at the Medway Campus, although the person may be asked, at varying times, to work at the Maidstone campus.

The post will report to the Security Supervisor and will be responsible to the Customer Services Manager.

The person will need to be responsible, flexible with a positive can do attitude and will need to understand the importance of proving an excellent customer service at all times.

Good communication skills and practical knowledge and application of Health and Safety compliance is also required.

Applicants must hold a valid SIA License for Door Supervision and have, or be willing and able to obtain an enhanced DBS.

The post is 37 hours per week, is a permanent position, offers excellent leave entitlement and a pension scheme.

The post holder will need to be willing and available to carry out some early, late and weekend working as required.
