Variable Hours Lecturer in IT

This position will be based at our Peterborough Park Crescent site.

Peterborough Regional College is a large, successful college of further and higher education.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Computing team within our Information area. If you are looking for a new challenge and would like to utilise your skills and experience whilst developing your own career, this role will be both rewarding and fulfilling. You will pass on your specialist knowledge, and will be developing skills for the future.

Within this role you will teach across level 1 to level 3 courses including Access to HE and the key duties of our Lecturers include:

• Delivering high quality teaching and learning
• Guiding and supporting learners, providing pastoral support and care
• Providing appropriate assignment material for each programme and developing our contextual learning
• Monitoring the progress, retention and achievement of learners

This role is variable hours, for approximately 10 to 24 hours per week of teaching delivery while some of the planning, preparation and marking can be done from home.

Essential requirements are a degree (or above) qualification or equivalent in the relevant area, and suitable industrial experience. Experience and/or qualifications in teaching and assessing would be advantageous, but is not essential. We welcome applications from people in industry, and will provide the necessary support to obtain your professional teaching qualification and assessor/verifier awards in-house.
