This position will be based at our Peterborough Park Crescent site.

We currently have a 30 month fixed term contract for a full time opportunity for a Social Media and Student Outreach Coordinator to support the work of our Marketing and Events Officer.

In this role you will be responsible for the support all aspects of marketing at University Centre Peterborough, from creation of our annual course prospectus to development and updating of our website and social media campaigns. Main responsibilities will include forming relationships with schools, feeder organisations and networks. They will also assume responsibility for UCAS events, school visits and acting as an effective liaison with academic staff to support the work of the Marketing and Events Officer. There are specific responsibilities for web content and social media development. In addition the role will also include supporting the planning of events including our graduation held at Peterborough Cathedral and representing the University Centre at UCAS events and within local schools.

Your area of responsibility will vary so flexibility and the ability to prioritise are essential along with attention to detail. The working hours will usually be 8.30 am to 5.00 pm from Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on Friday. However, the working hours will vary on occasions dependent on the needs of the University Centre.

The successful candidate will have a good level of education to a minimum of level 2 in English, Maths and IT, along with a degree in Journalism or Marketing or related subject and proven experience of events management and implementing marketing communication campaigns are essential. Knowledge of website design and social media are also desirable as is an understanding of Higher Education.

You will be a motivated, self-starter with the highest level of commitment to constantly seeking new business opportunities. This is a target driven role working alongside and engaging school leavers. We require a creative person that is driven to succeed. Exceptional communication skills both verbally and written are essential along with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
