Across Paston College and City College Norwich there are vocational offers in both Computing and Information Technology, both running on Pearson BTEC specifications.
Paston College is seeking and enthusiastic individual to take the lead on the BTEC Computing provision. The qualification is designed to support students who want a strong core study of computer science to enable progression to roles in the computing industry or progression to higher education with a focus on the computing sector.
Mandatory units include: Principles of Computer Science; Planning and Management of Computing Projects; Building Computer Systems; IT Systems Security; Human Computer Interaction; and, Software Development. These mandatory units are then supplemented from a choice of optional units to make up the full qualification and could range from Digital Video to Website Development, or 3D modelling to Systems Analysis and Design.
