*Rising to £14,427.50 with experience in the role. (Pro rata salary £24,915 - £28,855) Plus £1,020 market allowance for holding a degree qualification. (Pro rata £2,040).

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Science team. You will pass on your specialist knowledge, and will be developing skills for the future.

Within this role you will teach across the Bioscience degree pathway, Access to HE Science pathway and Level 3 BTEC Science courses.

The key duties of our Lecturers include:

  • Delivering high quality teaching and learning
  • Guiding and supporting learners, providing pastoral support and care
  • Providing appropriate assignment material for each programme and developing our contextual learning
  • Monitoring the progress, retention and achievement of learners

Essential requirements are a BSc (Biology related) degree and an MSc (Biology related) being desirable. You will have experience in one or some of the following subject areas: Molecular cell biology, Pathology or Biochemistry, industrial experience would be preferred. Experience and/or qualifications in teaching and assessing would be advantageous, but is not essential. We welcome applications from people in industry, and will provide the necessary support to obtain your professional teaching qualification and assessor/verifier awards in-house.

You will be a self starter, who can quickly build relationships, with excellent organisation and planning ability. This is a great opportunity to invest in the next generation of professionals.
