Academic Practice Tutor
Innovative practitioners, with an abundance of commitment to the learning environment are essential qualities for these roles as Academic Practice Tutors. Acquiring academic practice skills for our students is pivotal to their continued development, not only for success on programmes whilst studying at CU Coventry, but also in the wider context of progression into suitable and relevant employment. These roles were originally created to ensure a specific focus on courses in improving the student experience by contributing to the delivery of all the academic practice skills relevant, and to support with the challenges our students face throughout their modules.
After a year since inception, the impact of the work of existing academic practice tutors is significant, and therefore, we are expanding the team to work across the curriculum to ensure further impact. We therefore welcome applications from a broad range of disciplines; it is the application and approach to learning that is pivotal within this role.
You will work in each academic area and be central to ensuring you research and create the best learning environment for our students to embed robust practice into assignment production. Successful candidates will deliver all Academic Skills for each course and therefore work collaboratively with Course Leaders and Tutors in each course to ascertain specific requirements for disciplines. You will work in conjunction with the Learning Resources team, especially, the Academic Writing Tutor(s) so that our students are fully enhanced with necessary skills to succeed.
