MIS Systems Developers

We have exciting opportunities for highly motivated and skilled systems developers to join our Management Information Systems (MIS) team at the top-ranked Fylde Coast Sixth Form College.

We are seeking to recruit talented individuals with a level of practical experience to join our ambitious MIS team to lead the development and maintenance of our innovative, in-house systems.

One post is permanent and the other a 1-year fixed term position. Applications are welcome from new graduates to experienced developers.

Both posts will work closely together developing existing systems as well as working individually on specific projects. There are a number of new curriculum initiatives on the horizon that will require significant changes to the way the college operates and particularly its systems. The fixed term position is to provide the extra support required to prepare the way for these new initiatives.

If you have excellent IT and technical skills including knowledge of databases, programming and web based languages such as php, Javascript etc then we would be interested to find out more about you. However, for the right individual, we are also willing to invest in appropriate training to address any skill gaps you might have.

It’s an exciting time to join us. Working in the ever-changing education arena, our team’s mission is to provide high-quality systems and reports that support the delivery of an exceptional learning experience for our students. To achieve that, we develop innovative and customised approaches that drive new information systems and performance monitoring solutions.

As well as having excellent technical skills, you should also be a good communicator, providing first-rate customer service and have a creative flair and commitment to innovate. You will join an established multi-disciplinary team and will be able to demonstrate a desire to find solutions that will transform data into knowledge and provide insights to support the work of an outstanding college.

Interviews: 4th May 2018
