Working week: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

You will undertake all aspects of bid administration works assisting office support functions for busy Airports, Asphalt and Projects and Infrastructure team, assisting with efficient delivery of all prequalification and tender submissions and post submission administration, ensuring the compliance with all Quality procedures and safe working practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Bid Manager/Senior Bid Manager as directed in the administration of the bid process. 
  • Work closely with all members of the Bid Team and the wider business in coordinating and managing submission deliverables.
  • Maintain bid information on Microsoft Dynamics CRM database.
  • Manage and archive physical and electronic files, including SharePoint.
  • Attend bid solution meetings and take and circulate minutes.
  • Provide appropriate inputs to prequalification and tender submissions as directed.
  • Create templates for bids and format all documents prior to submission.
  • Organise meeting timetables.
  • Carry out all duties and responsibilities in a manner that supports the Company Vision and Mission.
  • Complete all responsibilities and duties in a manner that visibly underpins the company’s values and beliefs.
  • Challenging existing protocols and practices where appropriate contributing to continual improvement for the success of tenders and overall company performance.
  • Other duties appropriate to the role that may be required from time to time and as delegated by or through the Bid Manager/Senior Bid Manager.

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE - Grade C or above or equivalent in both Maths and English Language.
  • Also an A level in ICT/Business Studies (or similar).

Training provider:

  • Apprenticeship and on the job learning.
  • Construction Contracting Operations framework.
  • Full training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis and when required.
  • You will be required to attend college premises 1 day a week working towards a qualification.
  • An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/help you through you course.
  • Continual assessment for NVQ’s coupled with assignments/or exams depending on course of study.
  • Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week.
