The Biology team forms part of the Worthing College STEM Academy in which teachers and technicians of STEM courses work collaboratively to enrich the student experience and progression opportunities as well as contributing to the local agenda to increase uptake and progression to STEM apprenticeships and higher education.
Due to a vacancy that has arisen, we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic Biology teacher, with a proven track record of successful teaching, to join our Science Team and STEM Academy from September 2018. The teaching would be spread across Biology A Level and our vocational Applied Science courses at Levels 2 and 3.
*Candidates with relevant skills and experience may also apply to be the Biology Subject Leader (Deputy Curriculum Manager). The purpose of this role is to support the Director of STEM in line management responsibilities and in a range of quality improvement activities to enable the Director of STEM to have an improved focus on the developing STEM provision and the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and student outcomes.
