The role entails delivery and assessment of Level 2 NQF and Level 3 QCF Creative Media provision. The successful candidate will also take on the role of Course Leader and Personal Tutor. Applicants are expected to have full working knowledge of the BTEC Level 2 NQF Creative Digital Media Production and BTEC Level 3 QCF Creative Media Production frameworks for assessment and feedback.

The units that will be covered will include audio production (factual and fiction), multi camera production and scriptwriting/copy writing/publishing based content, it is preferred that the successful candidate will have teaching experience in some or all of these areas. Knowledge of Adobe Audition, Premiere and digital production equipment (DSLR cameras, tripods, lighting panels, etc.) is required for delivery of planned content. The post holder will be expected to adapt and deliver content to meet the needs of the learners.

The post holder will be responsible for overseeing a number of other departmental activities linked to the role of Course Leader/Personal Tutor including but not limited to; parents’ evenings, open evenings, competitions, trips/visits, overseeing/monitoring of work related learning provision and projects linked to existing external partners.
