We have an exciting new opportunity for a Lecturer in Automotive Engineering to join our team at the MIRA Technology Institute.

A £9.5M funded programme is underway to build and establish MIRA Technology Institute which will be fully operational by September 2018, based at MIRA Technology Park, Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The project is led by North Warwickshire & South Leicestershire College working closely with a collaboration of key partners –

  • MIRA
  • Coventry University
  • Loughborough University
  • University of Leicester

MIRA Technology Institute will be a global centre of excellence where industry leaders, engineers, technicians and business professionals come to develop industry essential skills, key to fuelling their career ambitions and their employers’ business success. 

The Candidate: Will be a highly skilled and motivated automotive engineer who is able to enthuse the engineers of the future by delivering training at our state of the art technology institute. Coming from a fast paced background in engineering or motor industry would be a distinct advantage.

You will have confidence in teaching: mathematical and statistical methods related to vehicles, algebraic laws and trigonometric ratios, knowledge of vehicle systems and scientific principles related to heat, force and machines both practically and theoretically. The ability to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment and use innovative teaching methods is essential.
