Personal Training and Wellbeing Apprentice x5
30 hours per week
Term time only
Over the last 5 years we have recruited a team of Personal Training and Wellbeing apprentices to support and increase the delivery of high quality personal training, sport and wellbeing sessions for our staff and students. In recognition of this successful programme with excellent destinations and positive results with staff and students, we are aiming to recruit five talented, committed and enthusiastic sports people who wish to develop a career in personal training and sport. This is an area of provision for the College falling within the work of Worthing College Academy of Sport Strategy.
A team of Personal Training and Wellbeing apprentices is required to deliver gym and sports and active leisure wellbeing activities for students and staff here at the College. Apprentices will be line managed by our Sports Development Co-ordinator.
Personal Training and Wellbeing Apprentices will complete the requirements of the Exercise and Fitness Level 3 apprenticeship framework. Before completing the Level 3, Apprentices will complete a Level 2 Certificate in Exercise and Fitness if this has not already been attained.
Worthing College is equipped with a state of the art Life Fitness gym and it is planned to offer a timetable of weekly gym or activity (e.g. Netball, Football, Handball etc.) session as we seek to provide an outstanding learning and wellbeing experience for our students and staff. Students will also be able to drop in to use the gym or join activity sessions when not timetabled and the gym facility will be used heavily by our elite sports performance students.
Worthing College is an established centre of sporting excellence and the Academy of Sport strategy outlines five operational strands, including:
- Sports Education.
- Sports Performance.
- Sports Apprenticeships.
- Active Health and Wellbeing.
- Community and Partners.
