Here at Peterborough Regional College we are always on the lookout for talented and enthusiastic individuals. We want lecturers who can inspire, develop and share their construction and work skills to the next generation. Enabling them to become employable and go on to have a successful career within this vibrant and demanding industry. The key responsibilities in our lecturing roles include:
- Delivering high quality teaching and learning.
- Guiding and supporting learners, providing pastoral support and care.
- Providing appropriate assignment material for each programme and developing our contextual learning.
- Monitoring the progress, retention and achievement of learners.
Construction curriculum runs a varied amount of courses including Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, Bricklaying and Construction Technical. All courses offer Level 1-2-3 and progression in to an apprenticeship or full time employment. We also offer HND/C and degree courses both full and part-time.
We do not need you to have a teaching qualification to apply but we will need you to have a Level 3 in your chosen specialism and industry experience. Once on board we offer support in gaining TAQA3/4 plus your teaching qualification at Level 4/5.
We support a range of working opportunities from full time, part time and casual hourly contracts.
*The starting salary for non-qualified lecturer within Construction is £27,915 (including market allowance), rising to £30,281 (including market allowance) on achieving your teaching qualifications (2 year course). Once you have qualified there is opportunity to progress your career within the College and our Curriculum Leaders top salary point is £36,437 per annum.
