ESOL Lecturers - Bank Staff

Perth College UHI is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the Unversity of the Highlands and Islands.

We are looking for qualified, enthusiastic ESOL lecturing staff to join our bank of staff lecturers. We run a year-round academic year programme which caters for local migrants and students from overseas. Lecturers work in close collaboration with other members of staff, so we are looking for someone with good communication skills, who can work well as part of a team. You may be asked to deliver SQA units and Cambridge exam preparation.

We also run a busy summer school in July and August, mainly for students in their late teens and early 20s, which combines English language learning with a full programme of social activities. Lecturing staff are sometimes expected to accompany students on these activities.

The successful applicant will be qualified with:

• Trinity Cert.
• TESOL/Cambridge CELTA with experience of preparing and delivering ESOL.

This post undertakes regulated work with children and a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme check is required. A check will be made against the list of those barred from working with children.
