Project Coordinator - Atlantic Youth Creative Hubs

Fixed term until October 2020

Plymouth College of Art has recently been successful in receiving grant funding to deliver a large-scale transnational project called Atlantic Youth Creative Hubs. The AYCH project will develop new approaches and interventions within Youth Services as well as formal and informal educational settings across the Atlantic Area. Connecting people, ideas, skills, technologies and enterprises across a network of hubs the project will unlock the creative, entrepreneurial potential of young people focusing on key themes such as innovation, co-creation of products, social entrepreneurship and employability. As a result, more young people will be able to pursue careers or education pathways in the Creative Sector and wider Creative Economy.

Thanks to securing this grant investment we are seeking an enthusiastic, highly-organised, outward-facing project coordinator to join our team. The coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of the project for Plymouth College of Art, reporting to the project executive internally and to the lead partner externally, as well as working alongside other consortium partners.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a funded project context, preferably European-funded, and will therefore be a skilled project manager, working within complex external partnerships with excellent knowledge of project management and delivery as well as excellent organisation skills. You will need to have experience working with multiple partners to deliver collaborative projects, with a good understanding of funding reporting and output requirements, working to agreed timescales and within a well-defined project framework. Given the nature of the project activities some experience in business and innovation support is desirable and you will have good knowledge of the Creative Industries.

Given that the project is a transnational EU project, with partners in UK, France, Spain and Portugal some proficiency in either French, Spanish or Portuguese would be advantageous, but not essential. Travel to these countries for project activity is expected throughout the duration of this contract.

This role will be carried out in the framework of the Atlantic Youth Creative Hubs project. This project is part-funded by European Regional Development Fund through the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme, a transnational Territorial Cooperation programme of the European Union.
