Basingstoke College of Technology has a vacancy for a Specialist Assessor to join our team.

The role requires the successful candidate to co-ordinate and manage the assessments of access arrangements for students attending BCoT including carrying out new assessments, renewing arrangements where appropriate and ensuring all students with an EHCP have arrangements in place and that paperwork is completed accurately and in line with JQC requirements and deadlines.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have/be at least one of the following:

  • qualified psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Current SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate
  • Post-graduate qualification in individual specialist assessment at or equivalent to Level 7
  • Willingness to complete the level 7 qualification by September 2018

You will possess a strong track record of working with learners who have Additional Learning Support needs, with demonstrable experience in supporting reading and language acquisition. Experience in an FE environment is desirable, but not essential.
