Monday to Thursday 7.00am - 4.00pm
Friday 7.00am - 1.00pm
An opportunity to work within the Fabrication and Welding department. You will be working from design drawings through to the finished product, applying welding and fabrication skills to support the current workforce and learning from these colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Introduction and experience within all departments of the business
- Reading and understanding technical drawings
- Mig, Tig, Arc and submerged Arc welding of carbon & stainless steels
- Mentored with an experienced welder/fabricator
- Training to use the companies range of equipment including cranes and forklifts

Qualifications required:
- Math & English GCSE C’s or above (or equivalent)
- A Level 2 Engineering or Welding & Fabricating qualification
Training provider:
Fabrication and Welding Advanced Apprenticeship.
- Full training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis and when required
- You will be required to attend college premises 1 day a week working towards an NVQ qualification
- An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/help you through you course
- Continual assessment for NVQ’s coupled with assignments/or exams depending on course of study
- Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week
- Functional Skills if required
Apprenticeship framework: Engineering Manufacture
