Deputy Head of Department - Construction Trades

We are looking for a Deputy Head of Department to assist the Heads of Departments with the management and motivation of staff to support high quality teaching and learning together with performance management and ensuring high quality standards.

Post holders will monitor and deliver College targets and priorities, create and deliver effective study programmes and contribute to business planning. Successful applicants will have relevant professional /industrial experience, possess a teaching and assessment qualification together with a relevant professional qualification and be able to evidence successful management of staff and delivery of improvements within the curriculum. Knowledge of current developments in FE/HE is needed coupled with a good knowledge of the latest developments in curriculum.
