Lecturer in Equine Studies (Further Education)

Hartpury College is one of the UK’s leading equine, sports and land-based residential colleges with outstanding educational and sporting facilities. Over 3500 full time students study at our attractive rural campus in Gloucestershire.

As one of the largest providers of equine related education, our courses make full use of our superb extensive equine facilities including the Equine Veterinary and Therapy Centre, world class arenas, the Rider Performance Centre and the equine yard with stabling capacity for over 200 horses.

Due to internal promotion, a position in the Hartpury Equine Further Education team has arisen for a full time Equine Lecturer, to teach students on a variety of Further Education equine courses. The role will involve tutoring a group of Level 3 Horse Management students, as well as delivering theory and practical BTEC equine units at level 3, including business management units.

We are looking for a team player who is highly motivated and forward thinking, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. You will be expected to deliver exceptional teaching which will assist students to achieve excellent results. You will be able to inspire students to appreciate and enjoy all aspects of equine, instilling in them a passion for the subject and a desire to develop their understanding.

You will be qualified to degree level within an Equine related subject and hold a minimum qualification of BHSAI. A teaching qualification and experience in delivering BTEC qualifications would be a distinct advantage, as well as the ability to teach business management.
