An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Vice Principal Finance and Resources to ensure the College continues to go from strength to strength. Financially sound and once again rated ‘Good’ Ofsted, in January 2018, the College has much to be proud of but is realistic about the challenges which education and training providers face.
Reporting directly into the Principal and Chief Executive, you will be a key member of a dynamic leadership team and your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and delivering the College’s financial strategy in support of the wider strategic plan
• Business planning ensuring best practice and excellent use of resources
• Leading the student and management information, Finance, Estates, IT and risk management strategies and providing inspirational leadership to these areas
• Providing professional advice as required by the Principal and CEO, College senior managers and Governors.
The successful candidate must be an intelligent, analytical, qualified accountant with outstanding leadership skills (of finance and non-finance teams) and a track record of delivering change and ensuring significant improvements within challenging environments. You must have commercial acumen, ability to work with complex funding models, and first class communication skills to enable you to build effective relationships with, and influence Governors, stakeholders and external partners.
