CU Coventry is significantly investing in our teaching and learning strategy and in substantial campus estates development. We have recently been ranked as 12th UK University according to the Guardian University Guide 2018, our highest ever position.
The Department of Health and Life Sciences has experienced significant growth in numbers, and is an exciting, dynamic and innovative area of CU Coventry (CUC). We are continuing to develop our catalogue of courses, and are firmly focused on an innovative and engaging learning experience. As well as preparing students for successful careers, in the context of the industry’s current and future demands.
We require a new full time, permanent member of staff with expertise in Physiology and Pathophysiology.
Applicants should have a minimum of a Master’s Degree or equivalent professional experience in Physiology and Pathophysiology. Experience of teaching and supervising student project work would be essential, as would possession of a recognised teaching qualification (or be willing to gain one). Experience of module management would also be desirable.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and able to communicate with students, tutors and academia at all levels.
Duties include teaching on and preparing materials for a range of undergraduate and/or professional programmes. We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring individual from an academic or professional background to teach on undergraduate courses that run during the day, evenings and/or at weekends through face-to-face (or potentially) online teaching environments. You will also provide support to senior academics for planning, preparation, as well as module delivery and assessment associated duties. Along with Outreach activities and Open Days.
The ambition to succeed in a competitive arena is essential with a focus on creating an outstanding academic student experience.
