Sunderland College is seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Data Team Leader to actively lead the college’s Data Processing Team.

Sunderland College is a large Further Education college catering for around 15,000 learners including 16-18 year old sixth form students, Adults, Apprentices and Higher Education learners. The college operates across four campuses in Sunderland, plus a fifth in Hartlepool. The successful candidate will be primarily based at the Bede Campus within Sunderland, but will need to work at the other locations as required.

The Data Processing Team carry responsibility for the accurate and timely input of all student and apprenticeship related records including enrolment, timetables, attendance and completion. The Data Team Leader will have a good understanding of Further Education Funding for Young People, Adults, Apprentices and Higher Education and will be able to ensure that source data capture results in ILR compliant data outputs. Some knowledge of ILR requirements would, therefore, be an advantage.

The successful applicant will be well motivated, proactive, able to work to deadlines and have a good eye for detail whilst also having the excellent communication skills, the ability to motivate others and the ability to organise the work of the team.

An awareness of safeguarding and PREVENT is desirable but training will be provided on this.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate, in their personal statement, practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification.

Due to the nature of this post you will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Check.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place during the week commencing 19 March 2018
