Approximately 8 hours per week.
Reporting to the Head of Curriculum, we are looking for an Internal Verifier to join our team. You will be expected to internally verify assessment activities to embed a consistent, whole College approach to continuous improvement, to ensure innovative, effective and efficient solutions. You will be expected to work across all 3 campuses.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Check the quality of assessment activities to ensure they are fit for purpose, including the internal verification of assignment briefs prior to distribution to students.
- Provide regular support and guidance to assessors to ensure that they quality assurance requirements of the College and Awarding Body is met.
- Provide advice on the interpretation of standards, on opportunities for evidence generation and collection, and on appropriateness of assessment evidence with regard to level, sufficiency, authenticity, validity and currency.
- Provide active support to individual students.
We expect candidates to have a:
- Level 3 qualification in relevant subject area.
- Teaching qualification/or willingness to obtain designated teaching qualification within specified time.
- Maths and English qualification to Level 2 or higher.
- Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or willingness to work towards.
- Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice (CLIQA) or willingness to work towards.
