Fixed-term from 25th April 2018 - 13th June 2018. 

Approximately 21 hours per week. 

Reporting to the Curriculum Manager, we are looking for a Lecturer in Counselling to join our team in Wycombe. You will be expected to teach at all levels, appropriate to qualifications and experience, within the relevant Team and elsewhere within the College as required.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Provide high quality teaching in the subject areas required, given the resources available and within the agreed and approved current timetable, with due recognition of the relevant syllabus and course specifications, including the necessary preparation of teaching notes, handouts and visual aids where required.
  • Ensure records of student achievements are maintained as required by the sector and relevant external bodies.
  • Maintain a knowledge of new developments in the curriculum, courses and teaching practices and keep course material. 
  • Provide active support to individual students.

We expect candidates to have a:

  • Level 4 Professional Counselling Qualification.
  • Teaching qualification/or willingness to obtain designated teaching qualification within specified time.
  • Maths and English qualification to Level 2 or higher.
  • Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or willingness to work towards.
  • Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice (CLIQA) or willingness to work towards. 
  • Sound, relevant, successful experience of teaching Counselling qualifications to Level 2, 4, and 5.
  • Recent successful professional experience in the relevant area.
