Apprenticeship level: Intermediate

Apprenticeship duration: 12 months

Possible start date: 5th March 2018

Working week: Monday to Friday, occasional weekend work, hours TBC, college day release

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside chef/s learning practical cookery/food preparation skills and adhering to safe and hygienic working practices.
  • The Apprentice chef will be trained how to use knives
  • Work to multiple food checks
  • Prepare dishes according to our menu
  • Organise work area and work to Environmental Health and Safety standards.
  • Front of house service.
  • Support the centre manager in delivering an effective and efficient service.

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE's A-D including Maths & English or equivalent is required.

Training provider:

You will be trained on all aspects of a level 2 standard in food preparation and will be taught in the workplace and assessed regularly.

1 day a week you will complete a study day in college. This is compiled of 4 hours practical, 1 hour theory and 1.5 hours maths and English.
