Summary of Responsibilities:

The post holder will provide proactive development and delivery of the support service across all HE curriculum areas. The Coordinator provides a cohesive and integral focus for the services support staff and is responsible for assisting Managers in delivery of service.

Working as part of a team you will be responsible for providing support to disabled students seeking general advice and guidance relating to their academic study/support in order to enhance student experience and enable academic progression.

With experience of advising on reasonable adjustments and support for disabled students, you must have relevant disability knowledge, the confidence and ability to communicate effectively. You will demonstrate a student centred proactive approach to working, and have the ability to develop strategies of support that promote independence and progression.

Familiarity with relevant disability equality legislation and codes of practice will be vital to this role.
