Working week: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm, 37.5 hours per week

Peppermint Soda is looking for a bright, ambitious and likeable telesales person to join its growing company. We’re seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person who is keen to learn and grow within the business.

Responsibilities: 

  • To support the administration in the Business Development Department (BDD) in driving Peppermint Soda’s strategy
  • To carry out general business admin functions, including data entry, mailing fulfilments and office duties
  • To be the first point of contact for all business development related enquiries, responding within agreed service levels and escalating enquiries to colleagues within the Business Development team
  • To support client generation for each department within the business
  • To understand and maintain a thorough understanding of Peppermint Soda
  • To understand and help drive the Peppermint Soda development plans
  • To achieve maximum profitability and growth, whilst working in line with Peppermint Soda’s vision and values
  • To maintain company database of projects, proposal texts
  • To create and foster relationships with clients, partners and associates
  • To attend networking events across the North West as required
  • To report directly to the Business Development Director against clear targets

Desired skills:

  • An ability to create and convert a pipeline of clients
  • Computer literate/keyboard skills
  • Experience working within a sales environment would be preferable
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise issues
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Willing to learn and take clear instructions from the BDD
  • Commission hungry
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Proactive and driven by targets
  • Identify opportunities, produce leads and book appointments
  • Use of initiative to identify and follow up opportunities with companies who are not already on the database.

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE D,3 in  English and Maths or equivalent
