Apprentice Childcare Assistant (L2)

Apprenticeship duration: 12 months

Working week: Monday to Friday 7.00am - 5.30pm, 30 hours per week, term time only

Great opportunity to work in an established childminding setting, working during term-time. You will have practical experience caring for and educating children form 0-8 years in a home from home environment.

Responsibilities:

• To plan, provide and take part in play based activities that stimulate and support children’s intellectual, physical, social, emotional and language development
• Delivering the EYFS
• Listening to, encouraging, enabling, stimulating and ensuring the safe keeping of the children.
• Provision of refreshments, encouraging healthy eating and promoting a healthy lifestyle 
• To complete first aid training, food hygiene and safeguarding training
• To assist in keeping the playroom clean and tidy and children's health requirements

Qualifications required:

• GCSE grade D, 3 or above in English and Maths or equivalent
• New staff would need safeguarding, First Aid and Food hygiene as basic requirements so if they do not have then they would need to agree to training
• DBS Check is required
