Possible start date: 12th March 2018

Working week: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, 1 hour lunch.

Wilkinson Cowan Partnership are looking to recruit an Apprentice Administrator to join their team based in Cheadle Hulme.

With the correct training and development the ideal candidate will learn to provide an efficient and effective general administration service. 

Responsibilities:

  • Typing letters, reports/minutes.
  • Answering/dealing with calls.
  • Managing a busy diary.
  • Meeting and greeting clients.
  • Arrangements for refreshments.
  • Printing and producing routine documents.
  • Photocopying.
  • Updating.

 Desired skills:

  • Technology skills - working with office software, spreadsheets, databases, word processing and emails. typing and formatting letters, reports and presentations and other administration publications.
  • Communication skills - friendly communication to interact with a wide range of people, exchanging information about telephone calls to another member of staff, meeting and greeting visitors.
  • Organisational ability - as a multi-tasker, an apprentice administrator will be required to organise and learn how to manage a filing system, track incoming and outgoing work to respective staff members.
  • Written expression - skills in standard written English and in some organisations, business English. Good writing skills improve the correspondence and emails.
  • Time management - must manage own time well. Using an electronic calendar in an email program to keep a daily diary which can be accessed when required.
  • Supplies - ordering general office stationary and ink supplies and to keep the office well-equipped and stocked for the staff.
  • Problem solving skills - Troubleshooting conflicts amongst diary entries, resolving over the telephone queries.
