Safeguarding and Prevent Officer – Term time

37 hours per week for 39 weeks per year. 

Reporting to the Head of Student Services, we are looking to recruit a Safeguarding and Prevent Officer to join our team.

The post holder is one of the designated Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults Officer for the College but will also be expected to provide general advice and guidance to students. They will lead on the provision of Safeguarding and Prevent to students on College Courses delivered in the community.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• To lead on the co-ordination of information, advice and guidance services to students and staff of outside agencies such as the Local Authority, Virtual Schools, Youth Offending Service, R U Safe and other similar support.
• Manage and lead the student referral process for multi-agency safeguarding and Prevent concerns.
• Maintain and develop further links with key support agencies in the local community.
• Ensure the College is compliant and up to date with all current legislation with regard to safeguarding and Prevent.
