Casual/Pool Examination Invigilators

Fixed term for 6 months

Required to work flexibly and casual as required.

Examination Invigilators are required to invigilate a wide range of examinations within the College, according to awarding body regulations and College procedures.

Duties include checking examination rooms, the distribution and collation of examination papers, briefing candidates with all the necessary information, including making announcements and reading out notices, and completion of all the related paperwork. Invigilators will need to be alert throughout the examination, remaining vigilant for any instances of malpractice, and must be able to respond appropriately to any candidate issues/problems.

Although exams for the majority of academic qualifications are still paper-based, most vocational qualifications now have computer-based exams, so invigilators must be confident using IT systems.

Invigilators may also be required to act as prompters, readers and/or scribes to candidates requiring one-to-one support during exams.

If successful in your application, you will be placed in a pool of staff who may be called upon by the College to work as and when required and must be available to invigilate short as well as longer examinations.

Applicants must be available to work on all of the following days this year:

  • Thursday 24th May (am)
  • Tuesday 5th June (am)
  • Thursday 7th June (am)
  • Friday 8th June (am)
  • Tuesday 12th June (am)

In addition to these dates you will need to complete training and work alongside an experienced invigilator on at least one day prior to the above dates.

Join us and we promise the support of a great team, as well as the satisfaction of contributing to learner achievements.
