Approximately 21 hours per week.
The purpose of this job is to teach at all levels, appropriate to qualifications and experience, within the relevant Team and elsewhere within the College as required.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Communicate with a range of students on both theoretical and practical aspects from Level 1 up to and including Level 5 Foundation Degree.
- Teach programming C#/C++, Java Script and PHP, Computer architectures, Business Modelling with UML, Mobile Systems with Google Android Studio, Database design (SQL), Software Engineering of large scale, real time systems.
- Lead students to the successful completion of their course.
- Manage an instructor/technician (where appropriate).
- Teach a range of subjects.
- Have good organisational and administrative skills.
- Use full ICT facilities supporting the learning process.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a:
- Degree in relevant subject area.
- Teaching qualification/ or willingness to obtain designated teaching qualification within specified time.
- Maths and English qualification to Level 2 or higher.
- Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or willingness to work towards.
- Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice (CLIQA) or willingness to work towards.
