Summary of Responsibilities:
-
To provide a relevant enhancement package for all students which will support their progression into sustainable employment.
-
Work collaboratively with the Students Union to consistently improve the student experience.
-
Provide and coordinate an inclusive sport and physical activity programme for all students within Maritime Operations.
Principal duties:
-
To organise events across all campuses in collaboration with multiple departments and agencies
-
To coordinate, promote and develop the enrichment provision and align events to Personal Development Behaviour and Wellbeing
-
To deliver on the outcomes identified in the Partners for Success Framework
-
To be the first point of contact for College and community sport partners
-
Increase participation rates in sports/enrichment activities across all sites
-
Access and coordinate funding bids through external sports funding agencies to support sustainable growth in all sports activities
-
Work with internal and external partners to develop participation in local, regional and national competitions or any other engagement activities as required.

Establish and maintain new networks and effective relationships with a range of voluntary and statutory agencies
-
To maintain appropriate records, produce reports and data analytics as required and action as appropriate
-
To be first point of contact for the Student Union and work collaboratively with the Student Union Sabbatical Officer and promote/administer the sale of NUS membership

Maximise value for money and work within budget
-
Be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business

To ensure that students receive effective support appropriate to their needs liaising with specialist employees within the College as required.

To work with employees within the department and with other colleagues to ensure that college systems of support and discipline are used rigorously in order to support student retention and achievement and to enhance the wider student experience

To work with employees and with other colleagues to enhance students employability skills
-
Perform any other duties as may be reasonably requested.

To work as part of the team within the Directorate ensuring students have access to information, advice and guidance and ensuring this information is kept up to date through internal systems such as Moodle and e-tracker.

To attend meetings of appropriate college and external groups at the request of the Director for Students
-
To work towards and contribute to the corporate aims of the college.
