Are you a motivated self-starter who has excellent interpersonal skills?  Do you enjoy supporting and assisting others?  If so we have exciting opportunities for Learning Support Assistants to join our Student Services Team on a sessional basis.

In this pivotal role you will provide support to individuals and small groups of students with additional support needs enabling them to achieve success on their chosen programme of study.

A key part of the role is for you to encourage and motivate our students to maximise their learning potential.  In addition you will support students with written, oral and practical activities as appropriate.  It is also essential that you assist the students with the development of their English and maths skills in order to achieve their programme of study.

The role may require you to support learners within areas such as construction, motor vehicle and health and social care.

To be successful in this role you will need to be an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and have relevant experience within this field.  Experience of working with challenging behaviour and foundation level learners would be desirable. 

You will also need to have the following qualification:

• Level 2 Maths and English Qualifications
• Appropriate Level 3 qualification
• Relevant qualification in teaching and learning (desirable)
