Gresham College has provided free public lectures and events in the City of London for over 400 years. About 130 lectures are provided each year in central London, attracting audiences totalling 20,000 people pa. Lectures are also all filmed and livestreamed, and made available through the Gresham website and YouTube, attracting global audiences of millions. The College has no registered students and makes no academic awards.

Duties include arranging the academic programme, managing the staff and facilities, exercising control over the College’s finances, leading the implementation of College strategy and acting as Company Secretary. The post-holder will be experienced in academic or cognate administration, able to work independently and to manage a small team of staff who, with the post-holder, interact continuously with professors, lecturers, lecture audiences and members of the public, and willing to work flexibly and at unusual hours. The salary will be £70,004 plus London Weighting (£3,000) subject to negotiated increase from 1.8.18.
