Education Support Supervisor

As one of the main educational providers in the area, we know that the potential for learning in the Wakefield district is phenomenal and are determined to fulfill the aspirational needs of our students.

Education Support Supervisor

£7,298 - £7,111 p.a.  (actual salary for 18.5 hours per week, 40 weeks per year)

By joining us as Education Support Supervisor, you’ll be working under the guidance of our teaching staff to make sure that the learning/work plans we put in place for our students are implemented and accessed successfully, updated according to need and recorded appropriately. From time to time, this will involve supervising groups of students in the classroom when teaching staff are unavailable.

To be successful in the role you’ll need to be able to establish good working relationships with our students, act as a role model at all times and enable success whatever the hurdle they encounter. So we’ll need you to demonstrate excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain discipline. And alongside your experience of working with and supporting large groups of students or adults with additional learning/physical support requirements or complex needs, you’ll be able to demonstrate an understanding of the Life Skills or Access to Independence curriculum and the ability to motivate and promote learning opportunities.

You’ll also be educated to a good standard with qualifications at GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English

See what we have to offer and come join us. You won’t be disappointed.
